2D Studio Art

A class which focuses on design by creating drawings through the use of graphite, markers, colored pencils, and scratchboards during the first part of the year. Use of line proceeds to an understanding of shapes, negative space, values and the allusion to texture and form. In the second half of the year, the focus is on color; how we perceive it and how it affects us. Presented below are watercolor paintings based on dreams recorded in journals and shared in a class dream circle.
